Collection Instructions: Draw blood in a plain red-top tube(s), Spin down and send 2 mL of serum refrigerated in a plastic vial.


Note:  1. Serum gel tube is acceptable, but must be poured off into plastic vial.

          2. Collection date is required.

RFFIT stands for Rapid Fluorescent Foci Inhibition Test. It is a serum neutralization (inhibition) test, which means it measures the ability of rabies specific antibodies to neutralize rabies virus and prevent the virus from infecting cells.
